Laths become beams with the section above (E = 11 GPa, allowable 20 MPa, von Mises with torsion), every crossing a node — rigid, or a bolt that lets the laths turn about the normal. The span in the Shape block sets the metres.

Hinges keep the joint spacing and stay normal to the laths; the laths keep their rest bend as far as the stiffness asks (Schikore et al. 2020; Wan, Crolla & Schling 2025). Press flat at amplitude 1 lays the net on the seed's tangent plane: the 3-fold Enneper web folds into a hexagon — the laths bend in the plane around the six rays and the scissors close towards the rim. Scrub the fold back from 1 to 0 to watch the flat grid deploy.
